Accreditation & Recognition
The National Pool
Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is fully accredited by the
Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). QCA is the
regulatory authority for qualifications, sponsored by the
Department for Education and Skills (DfES).
QCA lead developments in curriculum, assessments,
examinations and qualifications in the UK and as such their accreditation
demonstrates the robustness and highly professional standards
of both the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and
the Approved Training Centre scheme.
The National Pool Lifeguard
Qualification (NPLQ) is the most widely recognised lifeguard
qualification in the UK and Ireland with over 37,000
lifeguards gaining the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification
(NPLQ) every year.
