Tara Dillon, Executive Director – IQL UK Ltd

Tara, has the responsibility for the strategic direction of IQL, with a particular focus on raising the profile of the Society within the leisure market place and customer service improvement. She aims to improve the service delivered to the Society’s approved training centres and increase their number in the UK and Ireland.

Tara said: “I passionately believe that the highest lifeguard standards should be attained at all swimming pool venues. Not only does this provide for the health and safety of the public, but well trained and qualified lifeguards are a competitive advantage to any facility.

 

Alex Blackwell, Programme Manager - Pool

Supporting Tara, Alex Blackwell a familiar name to many from within the National Pool Programme and a former member of the Society’s National Education Committee.

 

Alex has 19 years experience within the leisure industry. He has already been instrumental in the development of the National Pool Programme and the Trainer Assessor Units that were launched within the last 18 months.

 




Martin Symcox, Business Development Manager

Martin, who joined IQL on 23rd June 2009, is an experienced leisure professional. Martin will assist Tara and Alex in developing business opportunities and enhancing the organisations profile as an awarding and governing body within the Leisure Industry. Martin will be focussed on the implementation of new products and services for the leisure market and will act as the client liaison for IQL UK Ltd. Martin will also contribute to the management of the Programme Board as a board member.

Sarah Hiden - Lifeguard Training Co-ordinator

Sarah coordinates all Lifeguard Trainer Assessors (and probationers), Approved Training Centre registration. This involves registration of new and existing ATCs as well as Trainer Assessor Courses.

 

Val Gameson / Jan Hicks – NPLQ Awards Processing Administrators

 

Val and Jan process all NPLQ assessment award forms (over 40,000 per annum). If you have queries regarding forms returned with errors and or omissions contact Val and Jan in the first instance on 01789 774206/208.

In my opinion The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is the gold standard in lifeguarding qualifications and I intend to further enhance our position within the leisure market place.”

Alex’s role is to work closely with all TA’s as well as ATCs to deliver a quality service for training and customer support. He is keen to expand on the inclusion of lifesaving and community awards in the leisure industry.


Working for the IQL UK Ltd will allow me to work in partnership with our Approved Training Centre’s, TA’s and NTA’s and therefore provide me with a platform to respond effectively and promptly to their needs.”

 

 

 

Ashley Henderson – PA to the Executive Director of IQL UK Ltd

As PA to Tara, Ashley also manages the general administration of the IQL office, which includes general enquiries, applications for the international Pool certificates, processing of EV customer feedback and co-ordinating seminars and meetings.

 

Sandra Williamson – (RLSS UK) Finance Officer IQL UK Ltd

Sandra oversees all financial processing aspects of IQL.

 

Veronica Bridges – Finance Assistant IQL UK Ltd and RLSS UK

Veronica, who assists Sandra in the Finance Department, is also responsible for placing orders for new and renewal candidate packs by ATCs.
